The ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) is aware of the sensitivity of the South China Sea issue, and therefore refrained from passing resolutions which may hinder the executive branch of respective member governments to carry out negotiations between Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.
