ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh has called on ASEAN member States to accelerate dialogue for peaceful settlement of East Sea issue in order to maintain peace and security in the region
Secretary General Minh made the call at the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat and Politico-Security Council Meeting and Coordination Council Meeting in Banda Seri Begawan, Brunei on April 11.
He added that the process must be carried out on the basis of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), towards the conclusion of a more legally-binding Code of Conduct (COC).
